couldn't agree more. this is a must own. i'd tread somewhat carefully with the rest of his catalogue.

My Morning Jacket's Jim James to Release George Harrison Tribute EP
My Morning Jacket aren't doing much at the moment, but angelic-voiced frontman Jim James isn't using that band's downtime to sit around combing his gigantic beard. This fall, James will be on his grind.
We already reported that the long-awaited self-titled album from Monsters of Folk, James's supergroup with Conor Oberst, M. Ward, and Mike Mogis, is due September 22 from Shangri-La in North America, Rough Trade in Europe, Spunk in Australia, and P-Vine in Japan. But before that album even drops, we'll hear even more new music from James.
On August 4, ATO will release Tribute To, James' EP of George Harrison covers, Billboard reports. Under the goofily adorable pseudonym Yim Yames, James takes on six of the late Beatle's songs. Two songs from Tribute To are Beatles jams that Harrison wrote, while the others come from the solo Harrison album All Things Must Pass.
According to Billboard, James recorded the EP a few days after Harrison died in 2001; it's been sitting in the vault since then. James did the whole thing himself, on vocals and acoustic guitar. In the liner notes, James calls Harrison "a prime example of the healing power of music." The Tribute To tracklist is below.
Also, Billboard claims that Monsters of Folk are "expected to" tour in September.
Tribute To:
01 Long, Long, Long 02 Behind That Locked Door 03 Love You To 04 My Sweet Lord 05 Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll) 06 All Things Must Pass

Harrison to release unheard tracks added: 21 Jun 2009 // by: newsdesk
Several previously unheard songs by George Harrison are set to be released.
The late former Beatle had a large batch of unfinished tracks at the time of his death in 2001 and they will now be worked on by musician Jeff Lynne – who was a member of 80s super-group The Traveling Wilburys along with George.
A source said: 'George half-finished loads of songs and often just forgot about them. There is probably an album’s worth of material.
'Jeff and George were very close and worked together a lot in the later period of George’s life. He’s the right man to work on the material.'
Only recently, Harrison’s widow Olivia revealed she wanted to do something with her husband’s incomplete songs.
She said: 'There are lots of tracks. Some are closer to completion than others and with those I’d ask for help.'
This will not be the first time Lynne - who is best known as the frontman of the Electric Light Orchestra – has worked on new material by a Beatle.
The 61-year-old guitarist produced The Beatles’ 1995 single 'Free As A Bird’ – which featured the vocals of the late John Lennon taken from a demo he had written and recorded in 1977.
It is also believed Harrison’s son Dhani will work with Lynne on the material. The pair finished off Harrison’s final studio album 'Brainwashed’, released in 2002, after his untimely passing at the age of 58.

i'm really enjoying GH's stuff as of late - but i'm still uneducated regarding his solo stuff of the 70s
All Things Must Pass, Living in the Material World, Cloud Nine, and Brainwashed are the most solid, but every one of his albums has some great songs on them. His self-titled is very underrated, in particular.
