what websites have you guys found that give pretty good reviews of albums, contain a large database, and have solid writers that you agree with for the most part? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

There's only 1 reviews site that I really like but it's in portuguese so I guess that doesn't help you... http://www.allmusic.com has some nice reviews although I don't agree with many things there, I still think it's a great site with a enormous database and information.

i have to continue the trend and go with allmusic. if i want a quick look at any artist that is where i go. besides that i don't know what to recommend. if i'm desperate for another opinion i'll sometimes check rollingstone.com.

Do you guys go and read reviews before buying an album?
I have never done that.

Huh. Maybe I should have been doing this. Although, I'm not really one to care what other peple are saying about an album, I'll just judge from hearing it myself. But then I have to buy it first to see if it's good...

allmusic
&
nudeasthenews.com - really cool website. jonathan cohen (of billboard) even goes into great detail about his obsessive love for PJ in one essay.
