Depends on if you're looking for Funkadelic only, or if you're cool with Parliament. If it's the latter, all you need is Mothership Connection.

If it's the former, sorry - don't know Funkadelic all that well. But one of their album titles, also one of my favourite Parliament lyrics, is one of the all time greats, imo:
Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow.

Well, I only have Maggot Brain and One Nation Under a Groove, but they're both great albums. Mothership Connection is a great album too, but all 3 albums are pretty different. I'd start with One Nation.
