it seems I'm in a minority when it comes to preference. I like freestyles and rap battles way more than written before rapped stuff. I like improvisions.
Anyone else feel this way?

I love freestyles as well. Swisha House (Houston underground stuff) used to all be freestyles, and then a few of the guys got famous and made regular albums.

That's absolutely true. If you're going to pen good lyrics, you need to think about them, not spit them out. Gift of Gab, my big black lover, is a pretty good example of this.
