i used to live for live gigs in late high school/uni. i loved it, couldn't get enough, whatever band.
now... no matter what the band is, i just can't get into that head space any more. i feel completely apathetic towards it, compared to how i used to feel. i even left a show early last night.
anyone else been through this? was it a permanent thing? is it just aging?

Age is no excuse. I guess you just made a few wrong choices, maybe. One good concert can get you back on track .
groetjes,
Mirella

iv seen quite a few bands so far this year and my whole summer is taken up with concerts, the thought of growing tired of live music is a really scary prospect. enjoy wilco and i hope you get over it.

i thought pearl jam was boring this past tour minus one show -- the first of the four i saw. i think when you see a band too much you get tired. now i know.
i blame that only because i saw mmj, the black keys and damien rice lately and all three were great.

and i can tell you that if they didn't play rats and satan's bed in the same encore at that show, i probably would have been bored a bit too.

maybe i'm just suffering burnout from too many shows and the novelty has worn off or something.

its because you know so little of importance is going to happen and that when you get down to it the act of watching four scruffy dudes play songs by rote is nt all that different to watching a car repair
