I was walking by a newspaper stand this morning and saw that picture. I immediately stopped and said to myself, "Whoa, who's that crazy lady?!" Then I saw that it was Phil Spector, I giggled to myself, and now I've had the Righteous Brothers stuck in my head all day.

Yea, I know he's a pretty big asshole, but that doesn't change the fact that he was largely responsible for the creation of some of the most romantic and greatest feel-good music of all time. I recently bought this box set:
I forget how much it cost, but I'm pretty sure it was under 30 bucks for 4 discs. It has all the greatest hits of the artists he frequently produced for such as The Ronettes, The Crystals, The Righteous Brothers and Ike & Tina Turner, plus some great oldies like 'Pretty Little Angel Eyes' and his (excellent) first song 'To Know Him is to Love Him.'
I'm really drawn to that whole "wall of sound" thing, so I think pretty much everything he produced in the 60s kick ass. And let's not forget his work with Let it Be, All Things Must Pass, and Imagine
