They say that an elephant
never forgets. And apparently,
neither does the American
public.
Ashlee Simpson was booed
at the conclusion of her
performance during the
halftime show at the FedEx
Orange Bowl between the
Oklahoma Sooners and the
USC Trojans Tuesday night.

Ironically, Simpson chose not to use a background track (used by most artists in large-scale, live events). However, choosing to sing live didn't work out for Ashlee in the end. A very obvious chorus of boos could be heard throughout the Orange Bowl in Miami as the fireworks erupted, and Simpson's song came to an end Tuesday night.
Simpson's vocals were the talk of the town after her 'Milli-Vanilli' antics were exposed on Saturday Night Live in the Fall of 2004. Simson first blamed the incident on her band, only to later use acid reflux as the culprit.
Searches on the syncing serenader jumped 226%, vaulting her into our top three searches overall on Yahoo.com.

Most definitely! It's not wrong to think that way at all; I think the same way. Not only is Ashlee Simpson talentless when it comes to music, she only got a break because her sister was in the business.
Her poor fans; they think that's art?

I liked the anarchy symbol that was part of her stage set up. She hates government, I find that arousing.
Ha! I bet someone told her to. She'd be more punk like that.
she is the most manufactured "punk" out there... the anarchy symbol just proves it. yeah youre so anti-establishment that youre singing at a football game you asshole.
i am still addicted to that friggin song however... its just so damn catchy.

I'm just glad that clip was only 20 seconds or so. Her singing was unbearable, no wonder she got booed. I had actually never heard one of her singles before or ever heard her sing live on tv or anything so I actually wasnt expecting her to be that bad. How can a record company sign someone like this just because her sister is famous. Its just sad because you have all these talented people out here working their asses off for a recording contract and they are ignored because of people like this.

I could not stop laughing when i saw that shit on TV. That was the most awful thing i have ever seen or heard. Just brutal. I'm surprised there hasn't been more press about it cause it was clearly a pathetic performance and the booing was loud. I figured at least MTV would have picked up the story. Let me know if there are any more links to the story, i'm intrigued by this train wreck

It's pretty bad when you have to be semi-famous and have some sorry ass show on the WB or some lame MTV reality show before you can become a 'good singer and musician.'
