I don't know anything about bluegrass, but if you don't have the O Brother, Where Art Thou OST, get that. Great, great music.

I'll have to think about some other bands, I can't remember any of their names right now.

I bought tickets to seem them again at the WV State Fair. I've seen them there before as well as on the Down From the Mountain Tour (a tour featuring the artists on the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack). Very good stuff, and Jerry Douglas (dobro) is as fine as a musician as you will ever find.

Also a few more:

The Del McCoury Band
Tony Rice
The Cox Family
Flatt & Scruggs
Old Crow Medicine Show
Ralph Stanley/The Stanley Brothers

and if you like Alison Krauss and Union Station, try Nickel Creek.

Nickel Creek's first two albums are pretty good, haven't really listened to the third one so I can't recommend it.

I'm glad someone else knows Old Crow Medicine Show.

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Live
Alison Krauss & Union Station - New Favorite
Alison Krauss & Union Station - Now That I've Found You
The Del McCoury Band - s/t
Tony Rice - Me & My Guitar
Old Crow Medicine Show - OCMS
Nickel Creek - s/t
Nickel Creek - This Side

as for stuff like Flatt & Scruggs and The Stanley Brothers, you probably just as well downloading some kind of collection or best of type thing first. You definitely needs to get the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack.

I also realized I meant The White rather than the Cox Family, but I'm not sure what is a good album for them. Also you might like to check out anything by Ricky Skaggs or Johnny Staats (he's from WV). Jerry Douglas who plays dobro for Alison Krauss and Union Station has some solo work that is mostly intsrumental. I haven't heard a lot of it, but I enjoyed it.

Sweet video. It doesn't get much better than the Foggy Mountain Breakdown, especially the version by Scruggs, Martin, Skaggs, Gill, etc... btw, that was none other than Jerry Douglas on the dobro on that one.
