All I have is Electric Warrior, and I think that album is fucking incredible. I really like their laid back sound. What would be a good album to pick up next? I'm thinking about getting The Slider.

Also, can anyone tell me what album the song Ride a White Swan is on? That's a really cool tune.

I can highly recommend The Slider, definitely the next one to go for after Warrior if you like the sex drenched electric Bolan. Tanx is really good too.

Ride A White Swan was a single but it's been added to reissues of the T.Rex album.

Try and find a comilation with Raw Ramp on it, glorious song. It's on Bolan Boogie but doesn't usually make it to more recent (better mastered) comps unfortunately.

The Last time I went to my local mom'n'pop record store, the cute rock chick working the counter put on The Slider while I was browsing the racks. I had never heard the album, but I knew I was hearing T. Rex. I basically got a free preview of the entire album while I shopped, and after asking the cute rock chick what T. Rex album it was, I picked up a copy on my next visit. Great album, I haven't yet checked out any of the other T. Rex releases.

One of the coolest album covers ever too. I hard a hard time finding The Slider on vinyl, and when I did, I paid $15 bucks for it

This is why people shouldn't try to help you out with music. Ever.

Ya bastid ya.

Definitely pick up "Electric Warrior," and then "The Slider" if you like that. Those are the only essential T. Rex albums, although the CD version of "Tanx" has some of Bolan's best singles (especially "21st Century Boy").

Pretty gutted the original mix is nowhere to be seen on youtube. What's with that shit? But yeah, top 3 songs of the 70's in my opinion.

Also, I had a delightful shroom trip a few weeks ago and listened to Electric Warrior during the peak. Amazing.

There was this massive buzz for T.Rex going on in various music blogs/twitter accounts around Houston a few months ago. It was somewhat weird, but I can't put my finger on why I thought so.
