My review: The new songs showcase a lot of what we're used to from Cake (punchy riffs and bass lines, distinct vocals, etc)... Yet some of these songs also do their best at attempting something new, the vocals for instance get a different treatment on a lot of these tracks, I am not sure what it is, but the whole thing sounds pretty good on a pair of proper headphones. To me the whole "feel" of the new album is quite different from their previous ones. I like the whole thing, but right now I have to say that these stick out:
- Got to move - Easy to crash - Bound away - The winter
It's been a while since the last time Cake provided a good one-two punch... And deliver a nice one with "Bound away" & "The winter"... This last one reminds me a lot of "She'll come back to me" or maybe "Walk on by".

Sweet!
I've been wanting more Cake music. I sort of knew they had a new album coming, but hadn't really researched. I'll definitely check this out tonight or over the weekend. Thanks.
