Now that Chris has finally finished up his so-so solo "career" for the time being and Rich is winding up his tour (which I missed here in Milwaukee earlier this month because it was a damned 21+ show), the Crowes are set to get back together and get a record out next year to, obviously, tour again.
That aside, they are one of the greatest rock bands alive.

I love Southern Harmony. Great band.
Southern Harmony is fantastic, but I have to say that Shake Your Money Maker is 10x better. Especially the remastered version in the boxed set Sho' Nuff. The two bonus songs, Don't Wake Me and She Talks to Angels (Acoustic) are amazing (DWM rocks SO hard).
Last i heard, Rich said he wouldnt reunite for a new album as long as Kate Hudson is around. Apparently she wants to be a part in the songwriting process.

I seriously hope that's false.
I'd welcome a return from the Crowes. They're very underrated, and they kick ass live. Amorica is my fave.

I would love to see the Crowes again!! Maybe this time, I'd get to see the whole show!
I'd have to say shake your money maker and southern harmony and musical companion are my faves! I listened to the Crowes more than I did PJ in the early 90's.
I do have to say though when I did see them they really needed those back-up singers for a few songs.

Hmmm...every show I've heard of theirs and the few DVDs my roommate has of them, they've ALWAYS got the backup singers. I'm surprised they didn't when you saw them.

This was way back in the early 90's when they were on the southern harmony and musical companion tour

i saw that tour as well i think it was spring/summer of '92 or '91 if i'm not mistaken. Great tour. they did a 10-15 minute version of Thorn in my Pride, the best song off of Southern Harmony, IMO. unbelieveable. lights down except for that net with the white Christmas lights all over it. now i am going to have to listen to that song. but they didn't have the back up singers for the Dayton, Ohio show either, i was a little disappointed. i really wanted to hear them on My Morning Song, which at the time was my favorite off of said album. did he do Spoon Full of Sugar acapella before going directly into Remedy for your show? that was a huge highlight for me. it was so awesome, just him under one spotlight singing it. and on the last "in the most delightful way" they kicked right into Remedy. still get goosebumps thinking about it.
