Couldn't find any threads on this one. I've been enjoying the album through the weekend. Didn't get much attention when it came out, but it's got some classic Frank Black hooks (think of the early solo albums... which is my favorite era) with his wife playing the part of Kim Deal so to speak.

For those that don't know....
"Formed in 2008 and going by the name "Grand Duchy," Frank Black and his wife Violet Clark make up this newest project from the Pixies' frontman. Grand Duchy's sound is similar to Frank Black's work with The Catholics in the past. Those dissatisfied with albums such as Fast Man Raider Man and Honeycomb will be happy to hear this album."

I hadn't heard anything about this one. Going to have to check it out though, I love his earlier solo efforts.
