I didn't even know they had a new one coming out, but I guess it has been a while since the last record. There are a few new tracks up on the Hype Machine that I am checking out now.

ITM EXCLUSIVE: Daft Punk are back in the studio! Created On May 28th, 2008 by angy
Yes, you read that headline correct! After annihilating Australian audiences late last year on the NeverEverLand tour, everybody’s favourite French robots are finally settling down to record more music. ITM got the scoop from someone who would know – their manager for the past 12 years Busy P! Otherwise known as Pedro Winter – the owner of the notorious Ed Banger Records – he was chatting to inthemix about his label’s brand new compilation Ed Rec Vol III when he dropped the bomb on Daft Punk’s studio plans.
“The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment,” he revealed to ITM. “And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment.” While those creative juices are flowing again, it’s not known at this stage when the new album might see the light of day. “They are slow, you know,” Busy P laughed when asked. “They are taking their time, and they have a right.”
Busy P also revealed that he recently decided to step down from the massive task of managing Daft Punk in order to allow him to focus all his energies on the Ed Banger record label. “I’ve stopped working with them really recently, because I want to focus and concentrate on Ed Banger and my artists, and my own career as Busy P.” But after managing Daft Punk for 12 years, it’s a safe bet that the relationship will continue to be a tight one.
So what sort of sound will we be hearing from Daft Punk? Their last studio release was 2005’s Human After All, for which the duo received something of a critical flogging. It led many to declare them as ‘done and dusted’, but before long they smashed back with their world-beating live show, debuted at Coachella in 2006. Who knows: maybe we’ll be treated to something as massive and influential as their debut Homework and its flawless follow-up Discovery? The possibilities are endless.

Release Notes
Simian Mobile Discos primary focus may be on indie-tinged electro pop, but their first mix compilation, a set last year for Bugged Outs Suck My Deck Series, proved that when it comes to the business of DJing, they have the skills where it counts. Rather than simply cram the thing with trendy indie dance tracks and stick their name on it, the boys carefully thought-out and impeccably executed mix of squelchy, glitchy new rave tracks. Their newest compilation, FabricLive.41 Fabric/Inertia), is equally intriguing and well thought-out, only this time, their focus is on techno. An early highlight is the Serge Santiago remix of Hercules & Love Affairs Blind, which stretches the original out, taking its old-school disco grooves to a far more slick, ice place. The messed-up, blippy electro disco thing continues for a few more tracks, taking in Discodeines Joystick and Shit Robots Chasm, until, towards the middle, Moon Dogs strange, jaunty instrumental Suite Equestria kicks in. From here, things get a little louder, and the squelchy, distorted sound of Simian Mobile Discos originals starts to come through on on Jelo & DeadMau5s The Reward Is Cheese and the Simon Baker remix of the groups own Sleep Deprivation. Things get a little more old school after that, as the set moves on to Woolford & Perus Eritoc Discourse and Green Velvets classic Flash, before closing with the wonky, not-quite-Duran Duran of The Walker Brothers Night Flights. As their DJ skills continue to improve, one can only wonder what the next lot of Simian Mobile Disco album tracks will sound like

I didn't know where to post this, but I just got Carl Craig & Moritz von Oswald - ReComposed which is an electronic/dub reworking of classical works by Ravel and Mussorgsky. I thought it was really good, which since I'm usually not a big fan of electronic music probably means it sucks balls, but still

French electro wonk-star Mr. Oizo is set to release his latest LP ‘Lambs Anger’ through Ed Banger Records.
Most immediately famed for ‘Flat Beat’, his Levis commercial featured track, new album ‘Lambs Anger’ follows on from ‘Moustache Half a Scissor’ in 2005 and ‘Last Night A DJ Killed My Dog’ both for Laurent Garnier’s F Comm label.
His relationship with Ed Banger can be traced back to last year when his releases for the label fell nicely in line with the colliding worlds of indie and electro-leaning dance music, or indie dance as it is affectionately known by ‘the kids’.
The first single will be ‘Postif’ which will ship with remixes from Mr Flash and LFO.
