This album is badass and super underrated. I like the weird bass heavy sound and random jams that happen in the songs. It's not as good as Rated R or SFTD though.

Self Titled is better than Rated R, at least in my opinion. It's a juggernaut from start to finish. R is groovy but isn't the complete package for me.

It's better than SftD too in my book.

1. S/T
2. Rated R
3. SftD
4. Era
5. LtP

Something like that..

Mine would be SFTD, Rated R, S/T, LTP, and then Era Vulgaris as the worst one.

What are you talking about? Everyone says SFTD is their best album most of the time.

I bought the reissue 6 months ago and this is my first listen. So far I like it better than SFTD and Rated R. That was also one of my favorite days of this year. Good times.

I lived this album, bought it when it first came out, and each following album was a step down to me. Maybe it's different if you're coming in on a different album, like SFTD which has fantastic drumming and two additional vocalists, but I don't know anybody from back in '98 who doesn't hold the first album as the benchmark for everything that followed. I think it's a perfect album, especially the new version with the extra tracks. I wouldn't change a thing about. Whereas, I can take or leave several songs on Rated R & SFTD.

I consider the debut record to be only the first of many benchmarks the band has set.

I began listening to the Queens in 1997 when I received (from the taper!) an audience recording of the band's first show.

I consider SFTD to be their best album but none of their albums should be considered less than 4/5 stars.

pretty much everything Josh Homme ever touched is at least 4/5.
