I borrowed Neon Golden and I am liking it more and more with each listen. Does anyone else like this band? I had one of thier songs on a mix CD a while ago but it wasn't enough to get me into them. I'll definitely buy one of thier albums now though.

Hey, great to see that you guys know The Notwist. They're from Germany. I listened to them quite a lot during the mid-90ies, awesome band. The whole scene back then was great, they were close friends to bands like Locust Fudge, Sharon Stoned, Hip Young Things, Schneider TM and others. You should give them all a listen too if you have the chance, great music.

Ergh, I don't really care for Schneider TM. Haven't heard of the other bands you mentioned, though.

Yeah, I don't like him a lot either, too electronic for me. But Schneider is all around and involved with a lot of these other bands. He was in the Hip Young things and together with Krite from Sharon Stoned he formed Locust Fudge, their record "Flush" is one of my all time favorites. Also, his stuff as "Schneider" (without the TM) was pretty awesome too. Back in the day he and Floor (another cool band) had a split 7", both with 2 tracks, great stuff. I wish I still had my record player around, most of the stuff from the bands and Notwist I have is on vinyl.

Neat. Thanks for the info. I should be buying another Notwist album here in the next few months, I think.
