I'm making some CDs for 5th graders. One of them I want to be good raps and beat-driven stuff with samples. I can't have bad language, and I don't want any soggy Will Smith type music. Here are some examples I've got already:
Nas-Can't Forget About You Blackalicious-Alphabet Aerobics (among some other stuff) DJ Food-The Break Venetian Snares-Gloomy Sunday (that one with Billy Holiday, my Hungarian sucks)
Any suggestions are helpful.

Omega One - jazzy beats, no singing. Aesop Rock probably has some non swearing songs. Prefuse 73 - older stuff is more rap oriented with samples. Outkast maybe? Blockhead - all beats Blue Sky Black Death Gabriel Teodros (2007) Lovework Dilla Donuts for beats Madvillain - Strange Ways is pretty wicked Nujabes!

It's just stuff with good beats, really. Rap just tends to have fucked up lyrics, so I need help with that part. Even Blackalicious will have a few lyrics in every song that make it a dealbreaker. You get me?

It's not that easy to make out the lyrics, at least to me. But I guess I could get fucked if anyone listens really closely. I hate having to worry about this, all these kids listen to rap all the time anyway.
