So I pulled pre-sale tickets for the Auditorium Theatre here in Chicago, and have no idea where they are (they didn't release the locations at point of purchase). That was odd.

Not really feeling "Dear God (Sincerely MOF)" upon first listen. The intrumental sounds exactly like a Stephen Marley song called "You're Gonna Leave". I don't really know why Monsters of Folk decided to use a hip-hop beat on the opening track...seems pretty contrary to the band's strengths as songwriters. Oh well.
"The Sandman, The Breakman and Me" is great. I guess this is how I wished the mojority of the songs would sound like.

Can someone change the thread title to "Monsters of Folk"?

Has it leaked?

Brakeman = fantastic... not far off a regular M. Ward song
Dear God = pretty lame... sometimes I just don't get Jim James (err Yim Yames)
James' harmonies on Brakeman sound awesome though.

I really fucking love "The Sandman, The Brakeman and Me". I can't get enough of this song.
