Ooh.. nice. I don't have that one, as I was always put off because it was in mono. What's it like? Any difference?

Anyone thinking about that Metallica Death Magnetic vinyl box set? Sounds pretty sick actually...

Includes the Death Magnetic album spread across five pieces of heavyweight vinyl (180gm cut at 45rpm), a lithograph print and a copy of the ‘Death Magnetic’ CD.

Tracklisting:

1. That Was Just Your Life
2. The End of The Line
3. Broken, Beat & Scarred
4. The Day That Never Comes
5. All Nightmare Long
6. Cyanide
7. The Unforgiven III
8. The Judas Kiss
9. Suicide & Redemption
10. My Apocalypse

That's cool that they accepted the exchange. A lot of stores won't exchange vinyl, but the truth is that there are a lot of problems with new vinyl. Not as many people are familiar with the production and distribution so we end up with more warped new records. There is one online retailer (can't remember which one) who is now offering a "verification and cleaning" service so you pay a few extra bucks but are guaranteed a flawless and clean LP when it arrives. That is of course if the mailman didn't leave the package in the sun on the front seat of the truck while he left for lunch!

wait, are you saying they open and clean the new vinyl? are you supposed to clean it before playing new records?

Yeah. If you haven't heard it, go read the reviews on Amazon, hehe. Then go listen to it on Vinyl, if you can...

Nice setup. Are the Klipsch's vintage? What's the power on them?
I've been looking to get some 70's speakers ever since I switched to the vintage Pioneer receiver/turntable setup.
