Anyone thinking about that Metallica Death Magnetic vinyl box set? Sounds pretty sick actually...
Includes the Death Magnetic album spread across five pieces of heavyweight vinyl (180gm cut at 45rpm), a lithograph print and a copy of the ‘Death Magnetic’ CD.

i managed an exchange at the record store for EvilUrges. by the way, capital records has reissued some of their artists this week, including RH. i picked up hail to the thief and amnesiac.

That's cool that they accepted the exchange. A lot of stores won't exchange vinyl, but the truth is that there are a lot of problems with new vinyl. Not as many people are familiar with the production and distribution so we end up with more warped new records. There is one online retailer (can't remember which one) who is now offering a "verification and cleaning" service so you pay a few extra bucks but are guaranteed a flawless and clean LP when it arrives. That is of course if the mailman didn't leave the package in the sun on the front seat of the truck while he left for lunch!

Grado Gold Technics 1200 Old Technics reciever (late 70s?) Klipsch speakers

Nice setup. Are the Klipsch's vintage? What's the power on them? I've been looking to get some 70's speakers ever since I switched to the vintage Pioneer receiver/turntable setup.
