I had a total fanboy moment at Cactus Music tonight and picked this up. I couldn't resist.

Fun little find today in the 7" bins. I think I buy more of these than actual LPs.

The Freewheelin' Mark Arm

As far as I can tell, Arm simply felt like recording something at Reciprocal in the fall of 1990. The music is exactly what you'd expect it to sound like, that is to say that it's a raw, tattered version of the Dylan song, followed by a pretty frantic little Diddley-esque romp. Very happy that I found this. It was cheap, too. Looks like there's a few up for grabs on discogs. Go for it.

I bought 2 Destroyer albums recently and I'm really digging them. They sound great, and each LP has a bonus side of ~20 music that isn't found on CD or digital versions of the album :heartbeat:

ST, do you use discogs with regularity? I've been going through my 7" collection this afternoon and uploading. It's addicting. I need to set aside a whole day for my Lp collection, though.

EDIT: This post goes for any of this thread's denizens. Not just simple torture, obviously.

I won't have it all cataloged until much later, but my goal is to get all of the 7" items up there before I head downtown tonight.

Have you ever added a listing? It's a nice rush.

I just joined today. I look forward to adding a listing one day, but right now I'm just getting set up. Lots to explore here.

For real. Once you get most of your stuff up, there's a button you can press that'll give you an estimated value for your collection. I wish there was a way to compare your collection with other people's, to see where you have crossover and such. But I'm definitely going to take a look at some of the stuff you have that I don't.

I never realized you could see the value of your collection. It makes me want to add more so I can see the value increase.
I've got 185 records added to my collection so far on Discogs and here are my stats:

Collection Value Range

Minimum:
$3,190.52
Median:
$4,859.62
Maximum:
$7,719.83

Still catalogin'.

I love when I enter the catalog # of a common release, because that means I really get to know my copy. Pete, that copy of After The Gold Rush you gave me is full of treasure.

Discogs is pretty sweet. Just added my collection...267 records strong. Knew I had a few worth something, but there were quite a few surprises.

Minimum:
$4,817.40
Median:
$7,158.20
Maximum:
$11,416.65

I reach Argonaut levels of discomfort when something's not quite right with my pressing's identifiers.
