It's my second favorite.

Immigrant Song

I love the very beginning of this song. The part before the AAHHHAHHHHAHHHHHHHAAAA! with the 2-3-4 count in, the palpable analogue whir, Page's left channel goodness and Bonham's right foot plus snare mirror of the melody. JPJ's performance is almost physical, perfectly captured and practically timeless.

I can feel the cold.

Friends

Awesome. JPJ somehow overlays a swaying string arrangement over Page's hectic acoustic melody and makes it work 10/10. Love it.

Celebration Day

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for this song. There are so many different riffs going on here that they are almost working at cross purposes and the rhythm sometimes feels like the downbeat is crawling across the bar.

Since I've Been Loving You

Oh my tears they fell like rain. Did they ever top this performance over the next ten years? Maybe not.

Out On The Tiles

Another case of unusual syncopation. I LOVE the second half and would have been happy with a longer drone/loop of this to close the album.

I have never felt very close to this one.

Tangerine

1. False start? Check.
2. Double tracked vocals? Check.
3. Amazing solo? Check.

There's a certain sense of satisfaction that you get after listening to this song.

First time I've heard this song, I was high. I think I must have replayed it 30-35 times in a row cause it totally blew my mind. Back in the napster days, I searched all the live versions I could find but as zeb said, not a single version equals the studio one.

That's The Way

If Since I've Been Loving You didn't exist then this would be the best song on the album.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

Great song. My son loves it. Would have been a good closer, too.

4/1/71 Paris Cinema, London. Same show as on BBC disc 2.

But I agree that the album version has moments that cannot be replicated.

Hats Off To (Roy) Harper

A very solid vocal take from Plant, tasty slide from Page and a nice way to end a great record.

Black Dog is probably the only song where I've played "air" to every instrument. It's so raw and edgy. God, what a monumental moment in rock history.

Another song where the album version blows away all live versions (and I've heard quite a bit).

I like the How The West Was Won version

I love when somebody yells "Stop!" during one of the verses in this song
