They aren't done yet and will probably be reworked for the next few days, but this is what I got so far. And before anyone asks, TV on the Radio just doesn't do anything for me, so that's why it's not on my best list (unlike everyone else).

I think Opeth, In Flames and Between The Buried And Me are the only death metal bands I really listen to anymore (Dimmu Borgir is considered black metal, right?).

but a few word of advice

Gojira's been around since 1996. Which is to say since you were 5. Not exactly new.

And this is really nitpicking but Cynic (the new one was basically a jazz fusion album with agrowl here and there), Enslaved (prog, and when they aren't prog they're black metal), Metallica (which is thrash) and Cradle (def. not Death, but I don't care enough to classify) are not death meal bands, not by a fucking mile.
