I don't really like The Walkmen, but I do like this song. I still prefer "We've Been Had" over it though.

Good track. That band makes some fun records. I haven't disliked one yet...they always take me two weeks to really get into, but once I'm there I can never find my way back. I have no problem with this.

Not one of the best of the decade, though. A ton of songs are better...right now I'm listening to I Summon You, by Spoon, and that's better, for one.

its been said before many times, but what makes The Rat so good is its like nothing else on that album. The National kind of have that with Abel & Mr. November on Alligator

I could see that if it was heard in the context of an album, but I heard the Rat before anything else from The Walkmen and loved it... so It can definitely work on it's own too.

Great, great tune... but I may like house of savages, and we've been had more.
