It's never too early to start speculating what headliners will be at what festivals. If you have predictions, this is the place. If you have rumors or confirmations, please link to them here. There are plenty of festivals and a lot of great headliner combinations to discuss.

I am from the Midwest, and through talking to my friends we've come up with the following possible headliners for some of the festivals. Before you yell at me, I'm not saying all these bands would be at these festivals, I'm saying these would be my predictions of possible bands to fill the three headliner spots:

Rothbury: Neil Young, Wilco, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers (although I heard he's taking a year off) Bob Dylan, (Radiohead, PJ?)

Lollapalooza: Coldplay, Tool, Dave Matthews Band, Prince, AC/DC, John Mayer, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins

Bonnaroo: Phish, Coldplay, Prince, AC/DC, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse

good place to put this, bonnaroo has early bird tix on sale this thursday.

I heard a rumor that Bruce Springsteen will play Glastonbury. I don't think it's true though.

Bonnaroo upped their VIP tix price (not surprising) yet took out the supplied food (very surprising). I'm pretty disappointed by that- I thought VIP was fantastic last year, and a large part of that was due to the fact that I ate for free. Now you pay more for less... that's shitty.

I hope Phish play this year. They are one band I definitely want to see at Bonnaroo.

I'll predict U2 at Lolla instead of Coldplay.

I read http://www.graz.nl on a daily basis, especially the forum. It's in Dutch. Full of news and rumors .
Tickets for Roskilde went on sale but I don't know how to go next year. I don't feel like being on the normal campings so I'll ask a few journalist friends first, or maybe I'll work there.

all the bands above were strictly speculation/prediction based on who hasn't played festivals, who i think would be down to play them, etc.

that being said, if Phish does indeed have a reuinion tour next summer you'd have to think they'd play Bonnaroo. I know Bonnaroo has gotten away from its jam band roots but Phish was born to play that festival.

i think it's really pointless to do wild "predictions" like some of those seen here. it's more like wishful thinking. it's ok to do that too, just don't call it predictions/rumors if it's wishful thinking.

over time, those "wishful thinkings" will turn into predictions and rumors. It's only December.

i just expected people to have some sort of basis, however loose it was, about the bands they were saying, but seeing as that is not the case, i say the rolling stones will headline roskilde

Pearl Jam is rumored for Langerado which is moving to Miami this year. It is in March. I thought that might kick off a southern tour but it is getting late.

I'll only be heading to Mountain Jam, but I'll predict a few there:

Allman Brothers Band to close on Sunday
