so i'm getting into this celtic rock stuff and was hoping someone knows of a band that jams. For example, Dropkick Murphys is cool but I would rather listen to the music than them. Anybody have suggestions?

Horslips ---> :z:
a band here is called "Bourrasque Celtique", which means "Celtic Squall" - they jam a lot and the guitar guy plays an electric one with distortion.
i don't get the horslip worship yet.

Finntroll is celtic metal. It's actually really cool. Heavy as fuck, but totally celtic sounding, and instantly recognizable despite being death metal.

Yeah, they're boring, but there's no denying they're celtic rock. :lol:

It isn't really 'rock' but Lorenna McKennit has some amazing stuff. The only song of hers you might know is Mummer's Dance which was a minor hit in the lilith fair days

runrig are a great celtic band, they have a lot of songs in gaelic. theres a runrig live album from 1996 which is worth checking out, it has a great version of 'the times they are a-changin'
