yup, pretty good
i may like the first one better though
then im going to have to look into it cause it seems Raw Power is the home base for every "rock" record i've ever liked. Like ....the birthing place. Of sorts...or something.
i've been familiar with this one for a while, but fun house has been kicking my ass lately. what are other bad ass albums like these that i should get?

For sheer energy and passion? The first MC5 record.

Am I alone in thinking the first two Stooges albums are brilliant and deserve every accolade they receive but Raw Power is merely okay? I think it really pales in comparison.

i have the same thoughts with these albums. despite the praise that raw power receives after all of these years, at the time of the sessions the stooges--as a band--was already a trainwreck. i always felt the asheton bros. were "hired guns" for the recording sessions, because iggy and james saw them as a last resort.

I was just about to post the same thing. Raw Power has a couple of killer tunes but overall it's too heavy handed in the Stonesy knockoffs. Funhouse is where it's at.
