Track listing:
1. Victim of Changes - Classic
2. The Ripper - Classic, how can such a great song be virtually unknown
3. Dreamer Deceiver - Kinda blah
4. Deceiver - Back to Classic
5. Prelude - Kinda blah
6. Tyrant - Back to classic, see comments made about The Ripper
7. Genocide - Good but not classic
8. Epitaph - Good but not classic
9. Island of Domination - Back to Classic
Nine songs, five of which are classic hard rock/heavy metal. Halford goes down as having one of the best hard rock/heavy metal voices of all-time.

Beyond the Realms of Death is their best song and there might be a few others that are better than Victim of Changes but this is definitely their best album.

Dreamer Deceiver and Epitaph are amazing too, the kind of thing I thought they would never be able to pull off until hearing the album. Genocide's the only boring song on the album.

Great. Now I've got 'Better By You, Better Than Me' (the Priest version) stuck in my head. Still have 2 hours of this night shift to go. Hope the patients' don't mind me hummin' a bit o' metal while they get their mornin' drugs.

Not yet... but from what my friend has told me, it's pretty bad.
It would be a decent single cd, there's a bit of filler. I usually listen to it with all the interlude tracks removed.
For this album the Priest has switched to synthesizer guitars, same as used on Turbo. Same results, they work in some places and I miss the classic sound in others. This album is a little lean on the riffs we've come to expect from JP. I'm not sure if this is by design, or to not get in the way of the story. Some tracks also lack the lead breaks the JP is famous for, with some tracks having strings and other orchestration on them.
But there are some cooking tracks. When the hounds are unleashed, or in this case the guitars are unleashed the album rocks. There are easily 5 or 6 tracks you'll have no problem rocking out to, and the tracks are long usually 5-8 minute range. With a bit of internal editing and slimming down to a single cd this could be an 8 out of 10 album, as is I give it a 6.5 but listen to the 8 oout of 10 version.

They did America this year already, so I don't think they'll do the US next year. This year in America they had Sabbath with Dio (aka Heaven and Hell) and the mighty Motorhead. That would have been a fuckin' crackin' day out!

I know... I was at one of those shows... probably the loudest concert I've been to in quite some time.
