Have I, perhaps, not been high enough times in my life to be able to enjoy this? In a strange and non-sensical way, listening to this made me want to listen to Love's Forever Changes, which I did about halfway through.

Check out some of their other work, Ege Bamyasi, Future Days (probably my favorite), and Soon Over Babaluma are all equally good...Monster Movie isn't bad either. Great band.

they don't make music for the common man.

so i decided to download this today. i'm in the middle of Aumgn - it's great (gotta love the deep contrabass notes...it's one of my favorite sounds). btw, there's nothing exceptionnally hard to stand on this one if you made it through Ummagumma's studio disc without being hurt.
i read members of Can were Stockhausen's pupils - it makes sense. good stuff i should have discovered ten years ago. better late than never... so next i download Ege Bamyasi and uh...Future Days or Monster Movies?

monster movie is their first and it's rawer than their later stuff, very rockish guitars. future days is quite mellow. but seriously, after tago mago and ege bamyasi those are the albums to get

I popped in Tago Mago today after a long time. For all of the late night, stoned in your room vibe that this album exudes, 'Oh Yeah" sounds completely natural when driving through town with the windows down on a clear day. I would imagine that it would fit an overcast day just as well. Weird how that works out.
I'm actually guilty of only being able to make it through the first half of this album most of the time, though.
