Have you ever seen them before? And if not, what kind of music are you generally the biggest fan of?

Never really listened to them, and I like pretty much any live music, but I don't want to go sit on the ground for 3 hours in 98 degree heat if they suck.

Well, if you like almost any live music, I would have to say that you will dig at least some of what WP puts out over the course of one of their shows. LOTS of improv and jamming, and to be honest, some of it can get repetitive. Their best yrs as a band are behind them imo, but they still deliver a pretty solid show. Go to bt.etree.org and you can download some recordings that might give you the fever for the flavor.

Widespead Panic is an AWESOME live act. Definately check them out. If you like great live music with some great jamminng and awesome guitar solos then you should love them. I'm going to see them down at Radio City Music Hall towards the end of July and I can't wait.

Was in a small club in Charleston tonight (<200 people) and Jimmy Herring was jamming for a few hours. Pretty good stuff.
