Black Crowes are playing in NOLA May 4th. I smell a headliner for the second weekend of Jazzfest. Very excited if this is true. Gives me a chance to hit either Port Chester or NYC and NOLA. Love it. Edit: Yes, I know it says they're playing elsewhere on the 4th, but it gives them a chance to play Jazzfest on the 3rd or 5th. |

I think if this was 2015, a 30% increase on average over their last tour would be more understandable, given the length of time away that would represent. as for the new guitarist, I'm excited to hear what Jackie brings to the table, especially on the older, classic material, which is what i feel Luther had the most difficulty with (a lot of that was his tone, some of it was him failing to find a way to make it his own) the one thing the presence of Jackie makes me dread is more Grateful Dead covers... |
