I love it, it has some beautiful songwriting on it. Say Hello To Heaven is a wonderful song, so is Hunger Strike, which is probably one of the most powerful songs consisting of one verse . I also prefer Times of trouble to footsteps, by the way. And All Night Thing is a beautiful way to close and album.

the best song on the album
i still listen to this cd a lot
i had a dream the other night
you were in a bar in the corner on a chair
wearing a long white leather coat
purple glasses and glitter in your hair
and you said hey this is where i wanna sit
and buy you a drink someday
well you were going to the dog shows
but you kinda lost your way
now you say now i got all this room
and no money to decorate it
said you got some local customer who can put me in touch with the man upstairs
but he said little man you got no business being all frustrated
you gotta rest, you gotta rest, you gotta rest
you gotta reach down and pick the crowd up
you gotta reach down and pick the crowd up
carry back in your hands
to the promised land
to the promised land
now i had some angel shine my wings
she said nothin' but the best for the golden boy
she made me promise not to tell i had her under a spell
singing golden words in a broken voice
and i caught a blessing on the wind
i'm feeling lighter than a whisper from a dove
i've got no hands to tie behind my back
and i'm sparking like a heart attack
and now i've got room to spread my wings and my messages of love
yeah, yeah...love was my drug
but that's not what i died of
so don't you think of me crying louder than some million dollar baby
i wanna rest, i wanna rest, i wanna rest
i wanna reach down and pick the crowd up
i wanna reach down and pick the crowd up
carry back in my hand
to the promised land
to the promised land

I appreciate it. I wish Eddie was on it more. I like Times of Trouble more than Footsteps

Why is it so hard to believe someone loves that album? It has members of my favorite band, playing with my favorite lead singer.
Reach Down & Call me a dog are untouchable.
Yes, I've bought lots and lots of albums since 1990, and really dont listen to TOTD much anymore, but if I had to name a favorite album of all time, that's what pops in my head.
Isn't the concert of the moment the TOTD reunion show? If it wasn't great, would anyone care?

This CD, at any given time, probably cracks my Top 5....and I don't even listen to Hunger Strike, I skip right past it cuz the rest of the album is better.

cmon cal, its a great album in rock history. in fact, according to http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com (in the greatest vocal performances section) it is the best vocal performance album ever made.
