Arcade Fire's new album 'set for May release'
The Canadian band are reportedly planning to release the first single from the album early next year, followed by the full-length in May, and are considering live shows around the release, claims Billboard.
As well as considering options for their own live shows, they are likely to headline US festivals next summer.
Arcade Fire have been working on their third album with Markus Dravs, who produced their last release 'Neon Bible'. ----------------------------

Personally, I love Funeral but Neon Bible is one of the greatest records ever made... out of this world amazing, conceptually and sonically.
I don't know how they'll better either of these, but I can't fucking wait to hear them try. The only nerve-wracking thing is that there's acres and acres of room for disappointment. *gulp*

I think I like Neon Bible more as a whole. Hard to say though. The third one will have to be very good not to disappoint me. And I know that's a bad situation to start with.

Arcade Fire album due out in 'second half' of 2010
Following reports in the US that Arcade Fire are set to release their new album in May next year, a spokesperson for the band has told NME.COM that the record is in fact likely to be released in the second half of 2010.
It was claimed that Montreal band were planning to release the first single from the album early next year followed by the full-length release in May, and were considering new live shows.
However, their spokesperson told NME.COM that the band have "no scheduled release date" for the album and no live shows are booked. They said the album would be "out at some point in 2010, more likely to be the second half".
As well as reportedly considering options for their own live shows, it had been claimed that the band are likely to headline US festivals next summer.
Arcade Fire have been working on their third album with Markus Dravs, who produced their last release 'Neon Bible', although their spokesperson clarified the situation, explaining that Dravs is one of three engineers working on the project.
