G'dangit - How could you not love Dave Grohl?

I used to dislike him, but now I'm really found of that guy.

This album got still kick ass in my point of view, even if I don't listen to it that often...
Crooked Steps, Bones of Birds and especially Eyelids Mouth (one of the best grunge songs of the year, IMO) still are on my favorite SG songs ever, and I really DON'T understand the hat for Been Away Too Long, I think its a kickass song, even as a "we're back" kind of song, it still is a really great tune in my ears.

Atrition in other case... Sometimes I just forget about its existance... Even Halfway There (another, seasmly, hated song) gets better at each listen, the demo version of this tune is great.

I'd still give this album an 8/10

Dave Grohl is a seemingly nice guy who makes (mostly) below par rock music... so yeah, he's alright, but I don't get the love. If he stuck to the drums I'd be a bigger fan. No session musician has ever been a bigger star, I don't think.

I love Dave Grohl too, not specifically because of his recent work (though I like FF just fine)-- I like that he's managed to fashion a pretty respectable career for himself when he could've just fallen into obscurity. So, the worst reason to like a rock star, pretty much. I don't know. He's lovable and seems to give a shit even if he's not always putting out top notch material.

I saw FF live last year for the second time-- the dude has the crowd in the palm of his hand.

he has an amazing career...played in some of the most important records of his generation, has a good band, and now he is making another seemingly good proyects, like the movie he is directing.

It looks like we'll get a FF-style clip for Crooked Steps.

If he does a 'screwball comedy' schtick with this video, I'm gonna do something drastic.

I got two tracks from their live at letterman performance, Rowing and A thousand days before.
Cool.
