so next year we are having a full album from them, and reznor is saying it is pretty different from the ep ( which was good for me but not that new ground either).
it seems they could do some tour after a while....

so they are releasing a new ep in november through Columbia Records and next year a full LP.
Seems a tour is possible.
I liked the previous ep and i liked more that they took their time to make music...even Trent told the press they pushed the LP because it was too close to NIN.

First song...interesting, like the tempo and those textures. Still feels too much NIN oriented.

Finally got a chance to listen to it. First one I thought it sounded too "glitchy" but after a second listen I think I was just listening to it in the wrong frame (at work and ~distracted vs. actually listening to it at home). After two more listens it got a lot better, and I'm a little more excited about the album.

I've read some people say that it's a Year Zero EP, basing that speculation on the artwork and some of the music but I don't see it. Plus I'd rather that stayed separate anyway; it's weird enough hearing him sing and not have it be a NIN track.

Its going to be very difficult to see Trent making music in another band and not thinking its NIN.
Ten years ago , or more, he said something about making music with a female singer...nin with a female voice....this somehow feels that way...specially in the ambient feeling, the musical aspect NIN embrace with Ghosts, Year Zero, some moment of With teeth...

I can't say that I like this album a great deal, but I do keep going back to it and listening almost daily. Still, if this were NIN, it would be bottom for me. I don't know, I don't need this to rock per se, but the slow mid tempo songs one right after the other don't feel like they're ever building to anything.

the EP is a grower for sure...too much NIN oriented maybe...The loop closes sounds nice.
