That's too bad, Strat. Looked pretty neat. I've gotta get a solid bass with a good neck sometime. The two I have are bottom of the barrel types I picked up for dirt cheap over the years, but my latest Craigslist acquisition was a $35 Ariana stratocaster copy with a nice finish that still allows you to see the woodgrain. I swapped out the white SSS pickguard in favor of a black HSS and then soldered in 50's Gibson wiring. I might add a killswitch later, but for now I'm just adjusting the truss rod and intonating it back into semi-decent playing condition.

After adjusting the contrast a shitload because of the fluorescent lighting, it looks kinda like this...

Glad you were able to work it out and snag one. Now record some shit.

Really enjoying the guitar. Still getting to know it a bit. Ive been playing my SG a lot lately so re adjusting to this neck length has been interesting. Also, this is my first guitar with P90's. I really like it. Not as abrasive as hum buckers or straight single coils but a perfect blend of both. Warm and smooth but can also be pushed.... Daddy like! Will be playing a show back in MPLS with it so I ook forward to cranking it up with a full band....

Awesome! I've always wanted to try out something with P90s at some point.

My Boomerang III arrived, but I'm still waiting for Mike from Boomerang to send me an Australian power supply. I hope it arrives soon, I want to make some ambient loopy goodness!

That's sweet. Gonna put the red one somewhere on the list of guitars I'd like to acquire in my lifetime.

Got a Klon Centaur clone kit and a Bigsby for the Les Paul on my christmas/birthday list. I'd like to get a low wattage combo some time in the near future, but can't decide what direction to go. Got a 50w Marshall and a Rebel 20. Any recommendations. Somethin small that takes pedals well.

Anybody else scratching any gear itches?

P90s are pretty great. I used to have a faded double-cut with P90s. Man, that thing was sweet. I regret parting with just about every guitar I've owned, but that one stings.

That's what I'd like my next guitar buy to have. A week back in a store I plugged a Korean PRS with P90s into a used Fender Vibro King and just noodled around and it sounded incredible.

I have wanted the 72 Thinline reissue which i basically the same guitar I just bought but with Dual Humbuckers.

I never knew about this J Adkins model. It was a shock to me because I had wanted to buy that 72 Thinline reissue for a few years now. However, I realized that I already had a strat with single coil and an SG with humbuckers. Ive always wanted to soupe up a guitar of mine with p90's....this guitar came along and the price was absolutely right. I love the style with the semi hollow body ...and the full black made it seem a bit more unique....

I feel the 72 thinline reissue is only more expensive because it has the "reissue" tagged to it. Im very happy with paying less money for the same telecaster body style with p90's....

The neck is a little larger but its something im used to from playing my SG. I think this is a very versatile guitar that will most likely be my "go to"

you know - for all those successful bands im in.... :\

Def worth it.

I've had my eye on the Kurt Cobain Mustang reissue in sonic blue:
