That's cool, but if you have other pieces of gear I'm sure the guitarists on here would be interested in checking them out. Is your Tele an American model? Because mine's the Fender Standard model, built in Mexico. I really like that Baritone Tele they just released.

Has anyone ever done any fret work? I'm looking into trying to round out the edges of my frets so moving up and down the neck is more comfortable. Right now its rather rough.

I shamefully responded to a drummer looking to start a Pearl Jam cover band via Craigslist.

Ha. Yeah, I've had very little success with finding musicians on there. I met one who said he played bass. We went to a music shop and he couldn't play a note. Others are all talk and flake out. They'll set up times to jam and then make excuses at the last minute as I'm sure they're wary of meeting a total stranger. One guy I did end up jamming with that I met locally turned out to be a guy I used to work with in a music shop 10 years ago. I'm actually going to see his band's debut performance tonight, a band I would have been in had I not taken extra night work when they were putting things together last fall.

But I'll play in a Pearl Jam cover band. If PJ's an excuse to jam, I'm in.

Yeah, I saw that too and was on my way to this thread. Sad. But yeah, thanks for the amp, indeed. After seeing Bad Religion a couple weeks back, I wouldn't mind setting my sights on a nice high gain Marshall in the future.

This vintage beauty is in excellent condition. It has original tuners, pickguard, bridge, and label.
I have a 2008 appraisal letter from Gruhn's that describes this guitar and its value in detail.
It has been living in the mountain climate for 4 years, and has been regularly humidified 1x per week.

i can't even imagine how much they want for that.

it's in better shape than most of my guitars and it's almost 90 years old  .

"The Gibson" isn't the same as "Gibson." At least not according to Chumlee.

Have you guys ever played any of the Egnater's out there? I messed around with a small 15w Tweaker combo yesterday. Its ugly as sin, but it sounds fuckin' incredible.

Tax returns are coming in... :naughty:

I don't care for the look. It looks like a piece of old furniture from the '40s or '50s with that tan grillcloth, but the sounds you can get out of it... wow.

I have a Rebel 20 and I absolutely love it. Covers all the ground I need. Nice mix of vintage and modern sounds, with the switches and tube mix and wattage knobs. Not a fan of the matching cab so I returned it, but those Tweakers have a much better speaker. Wasn't sure about the single channel thing either, but working the knobs and a volume pedal solves that easy enough.

Heard good things about the Tweaker too. A buddy was gonna snag one at one point but changed his mind.

Anybody happen to know the 8-track recorder that Eddie uses in Imaginne in Cornice....I guess it's the one he regularly uses to record on.

Wow, there you go. Thanks a lot.

I've been looking into those types of 8-track recorders. I've tried Garageband and Logic, but for some reason it's like learning a foreign language to me; the lessons don't think. I'm starting to think I need to be able to fiddle on something like that.

Does anyone know if these are quality ways to record, or have other options for that kind of setup, where it's a 8-track or that kind of device and mixer?
