Buble can sing but can't phrase and has little capacity for tapping into a song's emotional center--and for a guy who models himself so distinctly after Sinatra, Bing, Dino, etc. that's a big but. He does better on his pop crossover material; the best I'd say about any of his takes on standards is that he knows how to dress like someone who should be able to sing them better.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but if I'm reading you right, you're saying that although Buble can sing, there's no variance in tone between songs, no emotional range; every song is sung the same. With which I'd agree; I'm not sure if I could get through a Buble album, autotune aside.

It's kind of a silly thing to say, and I'm sort of in that holiday hyperbole sort of mood where everything just feels like the best thing ever, but I think "Skating" might be my favorite piano instrumental ever.

Oops, foot in mouth. The Christmas radio station I'm streaming just started playing "A-Soalin'" by Peter, Paul, and Mary. This does not sound like the best thing ever.
