i like quite a bit on m2 and would hardly call it forgettable, especially when comparing it to the mid-00s stuff (future embrace/zeitgeist/teargarden). blue skies bring tears (electrique), home, cash car star, lucky 13, glass' theme, saturnine off the top of my head are well worth the sp name.

yes, the sound leaves a lot to be desired.
+ Vanity, Speed Kills, Let Me Give the World to You + Dross.
The mix is a major reason I'm looking forward to the reissue of this album.

They played The Celestials on Jay Leno and it was truly great...they sounded awesome when most of the bands don´t in tv... Great song, great rendition...even Billy seemed happy.
Funny, the Smashing Pumpkin stated somewhere that playing Mohegan Sun Casino was absolutely terrible and it was the only show of the tour that was not released officially. And now he is ending this tour there, perhaps because the casino actually pays performers more than any other venue in the state... nah, that's ludicrous.

Ridiculously good set list..i mean, quiet? even if they played ir for the vip, its just nice. It´s pretty interesting to see how good this setlist are, seems Billy finally got the right approach between old material and new one.

They're playing in town the same night Jeff Ament's new side project is around. So, go meet Jeff and then try and see the end of the Pumpkins show? There's a tab in my local record store for Pumpkins vinyl that mentions what a douche Billy is towards indie record stores with an actual article taped to the placard and quotes about how Corgan doesn't want indie stores to succeed. But it would be cool to hear some of the stuff he's decided he better play if he wants to remain relevant and keep his fans happy.

Hurricane Sandy forced the Pumpkins to reschedule all of their east coast dates so they were in town last night. Played an 8,000 seat arena at George Mason University which they set up for a half-arena performance (where they move the stage and black backdrop up to the center of the floor), and there were thousands of empty seats. Its really not 1995 anymore, is it?

Seems this tour wasnt good in terms of sold out performances for them, even though they are great live.

If I had to guess, there were maybe 2,500 people there if that, but I didn't ask my boss if there was a record of patrons who entered the arena. It felt like they should be on a theater tour, not arenas, but yeah, they were tight and they were good. Oceania sounded nice live although it received a tepid reception until the very end, and the hits at the end got everyone moving and cheering.
Do the Pumpkins release bootlegs? I'd dig tracking down a soundboard.

I'm sure it's somewhere in this thread, but how long since they last toured or promoted for a tour?

2010 i think. Matt Reeder is the man for those things....still, Oceania sold well and i can see a festival tour next year.
