debut full length 'The Big Roar' came out at the end of January
going to see them tomorrow night in Minneapolis and from everything i've heard from my friends who got to see them @ SXSW is that they are incredible live.
i feel like I may ask the lead singer to elope with em, my wife might not be happy about that

Humm...too typically indie for my tastes.

what does this even mean? lol.
music is either good or it isn't
i will ask, please make it until the end of the first video... there's some damn great instrumentation going on that you wouldn't know by the first half (and even more in the live version (video #3)
Been listening to this album for the past few weeks. I really like it. The first listen was a little overwhelming because it is quite loud. Really liking "The Ever Changing Spectrum of a Lie," "Austere," "A Heavy Abacus," "Whirring," "Cradle," and "The Greatest Light is the Greatest Shade."
Give this one at least 3 listens before making any judgements.

i didn't love the album at first either back in January... so i put it away for a month or so, and when i tried again it was kind of a revelation.

You know, the guitar distortion, the "i'm having a cool enligthtment" keyboard, the simple drumming, the girl with cute voice feeling smart, it almost seems to be a phormula.

simple drumming?
watch the 3rd video... especially the end... i know it's a lot to ask of 7.5 minutes of your time, but the drumming there is hardly something i'd label as "simple", and her voice gets really raw when she wants to as well.

About a week ago I almost made a thread about them, but then decided not to because I didn't think anybody would post in it.
This album is really good. I'm not usually into band's with such a "big" sound but this is good stuff.
