On May 17th, Virgin Records will release Give Till It's Gone, Ben Harper's 10th studio album. It was recorded at the Los Angeles studio of Jackson Browne, who harmonizes with Ben on "Pray That Our Love Sees The Dawn." The album also features two tracks co-written and performed with Ringo Starr - the psychedelic-tinged "Spilling Faith" and "Get There From Here," an improvisational instrumental.
Ben will headline a trio of festivals this spring: Lollapalooza Chile, Bluesfest in Australia and GrassRoots, the New Zealand Blues & Roots All Music Festival, followed by the Wakarusa Festival and more dates with more soon to be announced.
Stay tuned for a special album pre-order Mar 29!
Give Till It's Gone Track List:
1. Don't Give Up On Me Now 2. I Will Not Be Broken 3. Rock N' Roll Is Free 4. Feel Love 5. Clearly Severely 6. Spilling Faith 7. Get There From Here 8. Pray That Our Love Sees The Dawn 9. Waiting On A Sign 10. Dirty Little Lover 11. Do It For You, Do It For Us
Even though he lost some of his indie cred and following maybe 10 years ago, he remains an amazing artist and as always Im looking forward to this new set of songs. His last record with R7 was an underrated and just excellent record (especially the live disc, live at montreal). Im kinda hoping this is with R7 aswell.

Seems like most every Harper record can be relied upon to produce 1-2 great songs, a few pretty good songs, and the rest stuff I never need to hear again. Always enjoy the live shows, though.

I've lost all hope with this guy, to the point that I'm convinced this will suck just by looking at the album and song titles
i wouldn't go that far, but... yeah.
considering i followed him around the midwest from '98-'01, and now would think twice about spending $50+ to see him if he came to Minneapolis, i'm gonna be skeptical too.

first 3-4 albums were all solid all the way through... sadly you can't say the same for his post '00 output

I agree. Very strong overall records up until Diamonds on the Inside, that's where he started getting shaky.
R7 did nothing for me. Neither did Fistful of Mercy though I know that was much less his project.
