anyone seeing them when they play in the bowery ballroom in NYC?

i could only get one ticket for night one - i think it was the last one sold - and i don't know anyone else going.

i'll be at night two as well, but with a buddy.

these guys are pretty good.

i really enjoyed their first album Naveed I think...and even the 2nd one...but their latest stuff I just can't really get into...I've heard they are decent live. I'd imagine that the singers voice could get annoying for a whole show though :)

i haven't really heard their new stuff, to be honest. my sister is a big fan and said they rocked live...i forget where she saw them but it was some small place like the bowery.

The first album Naveed had some good songs, after that its pure garbage. I saw them live a loooong time ago, i think when the Clumsy album was out. I didn't care for them then but it was a free ticket. They were Ok live, nothing spectacular.

They're one of my favorite bands, so I kind of resent the "pure garbage" comment. :D Anyways, I really like Spiritual Machines. Check that album out.

Also, they have a new album coming out on the 30th.

i saw them in a shit ass club here in johnson city a few years ago when spirtual machines had just been released. I'm not a huge fan of them, but I have to say they do rock out live. And spiritual machines is a great record.

gravity is so bad that i'm very wary of the new one since bob rock is producing again. oh well, at least i can cling to their first four albums which are gold, PURE GOLD i tell you.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! gravity is good. not their best. but a solid album, nonetheless. somewhere out there, innocent and bring back the sun are really great songs!!

Singer's voice can get annoying, but they have a bunch of songs that I really like.

i like a few of the songs, bring back the sun is indeed good. i can't stand somewhere out there and innocent though, those two songs and made of steel are the main reason i don't like the album that much.

yeah, it is.

gravity is a good pop record, but the bob rock/roger staub(?) mix is annoying. they were made to sound like the creed nickelback bands... which i suppose really helped out their album sales. After going platinum with Clumsy, their sales dropped with Happiness and really dropped with Spritual Machines.

Talk about a dissapointing band. Naveed kicked ass and it's been all downhill from there... formulaic radio pop.

there's nothing formulaic about spiritual machines. they were only improving with each album until gravity, which is formulaic radio pop.

my olp rankings:
1. happiness...
2. spiritual machines
3. naveed
4. clumsy
99. gravity

Everything up to Spirtual Machines is very good.

GRAVITY was sorta poor.

Please keep them there. We've already got rid of Celine Dion, it would be great if you would take this annoying voice too.
We want Neil Young back though.

Saw them once just after Spiritual Machines came out. They were good. Their new single is terribly unremarkable however.
