Not as odd of a comparison as you might think. What do you punks think?

Love both but I'd give the nod to the Ramones

Misfits

I was never the biggest fan of the Ramones. In the realm of 3 chord lo-fi punk, the Misfits were far more interesting.

(and it should be noted that I hope we are talking about Danzig-era Misfits, not this new bastard incarnation)

Not that I don't like The Ramones.

I think The Ramones opened up the arena for more pop-punk bands, but I would rather listen to the Misfits over The Ramones any day.

Misfits. Love The Ramones, but The Misfits fucking rule.

I could not possibly make that decision. I love both bands. I have every thing the Ramones have ever done and then some and same with the Misfits. And i love the Michale Graves Misfits as well and Danzig was just icredible too. i know they are both in the same vein of music but there are alot of differences about both which keep me attracted to them. But Misfits beyond Michale Graves, I don't bother.

Yeah he was ok, i saw them live when he was in the band. It's just not the same without Danzig though...

I used to have a wall-sized poster of the Bullet EP in my room when I was in high school  :

Wow, i'm surprised at the support for the Misfits. I didn't think there was that much love out there for them.

 Cool poster.

I agree that the band isn't the same without Danzig.
