I thought Shatner's 'cover' of Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds was the trippiest thing I've ever heard. V funny - only because it sucked so much. Haven't heard his recent stuff is it any good???

So I'm a little behind on this, but I just picked up the album yesterday and it's freaking awesome. I'd heard Common People & I Can't Get Behind That on the radio and thoroughly enjoyed them. I'm just shocked at how good the rest of the album is. I'm very, very impressed. Shatner obviously has a good sense of humor about himself, but he also writes some damn fine songs.

so, besides boldly going where no man has gone before, he also sings? something i wish i could check (it'll hardly be released here, on the "have to buy" list, then). ok, i confess, i used to think he was a hottie. but i was, what, like 5 years old...

It's not really singing. Think more spoken word with music and backing vocals.
