That might be so, but that says nothing about the worth of her music.

I don't really have an opinion on her, but there's nothing mutually exclusive about being genuinely talented and also being heavily marketed and "of the moment".

Maybe so but there are a lot of acts who did this a year or two ago and did it better. That said she seems to have struck gold with it so fair dues to her.

Which ones?

Either way, British music has been in a constant state of repetition and recycling since the beginning of the noughties. That's the context; I've only heard a bit of BfL but I would say she's noticeable among the pack.
