I like what I hear. They are going to be in my town on March 8. I might try and see them.

Just found this group through a link in an article about The Black Keys. Downloaded a couple of songs through Hype Machine. I could see Mike McCready owning this album. I kind of wish Dan Auerbach was their singer because the vocals seem fairly weak. Keeping with that, my main criticism would be that on the 6 songs with lyrics the vocals sound underdeveloped, like a mere device to carry the song into the second half when they can do an extended jam. Right now, "Introduction", "Lick Skillet", "Fuse" (the 3 main instrumentals) are probably them at their best. Can't wait to see what happens when they start writing at least slightly more complete songs.

I wish I had found them sooner. They were only a two-hour drive away in early March.

these guys are nasty been into them for awhile now,...new album out now called brain cycles,..its a little heavier,..good stuff indeed

Lovin' this music. I hope they go on tour soon. I can see them being a fantastic live band.
