$700, however. Hopefully this is the beginning of more high-quality portable sound products.

I think it's part of the hardware so, no, there's no way around it.

Even if it says 24, it's only outputting 16 through the headphone jack.

I agree, it's a bummer. I can't wait til I can have a portable device that plays 24/96 without any hassles.

Well crap. I even found a way to downsample the files to 48 so they're playable at 24/48 instead of 24/96. Ah well, I'll take the HDCD approach: "even if you can't get all 20 bits out of your player, the ones you can will sound that much better."

to be fair with Billy, those headlines are pretty bad. Most of the time he is saying that.

There is a pretty cool interview in Crestfallen about the Adore reissue...seems interesting.
Didnt know rick rubin worked with him... Mr. Matt Reeder??

Is that the one where he says that Adore was basically a solo album and that the rest of the band had nothing to do with it? He's a piece of work. :-)

I think that's every Smashing Pumpkins album.

Wasn't it rumoured that, drums excepted, Billy plays almost every note (both guitar and bass) on Siamese Dream?

That seems to be more of a fact.

I dont think Adore was a solo record, im sure Billy was the main creative force, but that´s how the SP work, even today.
