Beck's Mutations record soundtracks those nights for me. Particularly his song 'nobodys fault but my own'..its haunting and beautiful and really eerie. The last song on that record is also amazing. Cant recall the title offhand. Thats my dark place record.

Wowwww Rifraf. It's electronic pop, I guess. Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, and Jimmy Tamborello. I'm guessing you've heard at least one song from their album - either on a commercial, or somewhere. You really should check it out.

You might know the Iron & Wine version of this?
