So I saw Radiohead's first Sydney show last night and I echo pretty much all of zeb's comments - the band is on fire and the lighting show is incredible.
I must admit to a bit of setlist envy after seeing Brisbane's set, as I would have loved to have seen Airbag and Street Spirit. As expected it was very last-two albums heavy (not necessarily a bad thing - Magpie melts faces and Videotape was a welcome surprise) but there was nothing from Kid A/Amnesiac until the encores. Planet Telex was cool for it's rarity factor, but it's guitar-fuzz sounded bland juxtaposed against the groove of There There - it kinda killed the vibe in the same way Cropduster can. As the sole 'Bends' song, I probably would've preferred any other track from that album.
Since moving to Sydney I've noticed crowds here can be less than enthusiastic, but tonight was a different story - the band was visibly moved by the ecstatic reception they got, which included multiple standing ovations. I guess that's what happens when you only tour here once a decade!
Other highlights:
- Life-affirming rendition of Lucky - The bowel-loosening bass at the end of Feral - Give Up The Ghost and its looped vocals - Paranoid Android and the inevitable crowd reaction - Running EIIRP seamlessly into Idioteque is a stroke of genius and had the crowd in raptures - Two drummers - I'm so glad they were able to clone Phil Selway.
Setlist:
Bloom Lucky Morning Mr. Magpie Weird Fishes/Arpeggi Myxomatosis The Gloaming Separator Staircase Videotape Nude Ful Stop Lotus Flower There There Planet Telex Feral Bodysnatchers
Give Up the Ghost Pyramid Song These Are My Twisted Words Reckoner Paranoid Android

YES! Thank you, KD.
Forgive me if this has already been addressed (my attendance in this thread, and RM in general, is varied, after all), but are there soundboards or decent audience recordings of this tour circulating? Spenno? Cameronia?
Last spring's Houston date, by no exaggeration, was "life-changing" for me. It was my first professional writing gig, and I've been putting together a portfolio ever since. Practice makes perfect, or something.

The Radiohead community really have their shit together when it comes to these audience-shot DVDs. Very cool of the band to provide soundboard audio for it (again):
Plenty of other good audience-sourced recordings on that site too. Pro-shot video rips of Coachella and I think Bonnaroo are available via torrent as well
