Some surprising turns on this record from the get-go. Then it kind of settles into a Girls record. Pretty good.

I haven't heard it yet and I just found out about these guys and have been listening to their earlier stuff via YouTube. So far so good though.

I only have Album. I like it. These guys sound like early Elvis Costello.

They played an awesome show last Saturday at the Cat's Cradle in NC. Funny crowd. I heard one guy say that they thought the singer for opener Nobunny was Chris Owens from Girls with a mask on. No one else seemed to notice that the real Chris Owens was watching them play a few people away.

When they finally did play, they started the show with an awesome selection: Darling, Alex, and Substance. From the new songs, Vomit and Die were far more powerful live than on the album. Great show, almost an hour and forty-five minutes.

This sounds like it could be on Sky Blue Sky, yet strangely I don't mind. There's something to be said for different expectations, I suppose.
