This whole Purity Ring album is awesome, but this song especially:

Wasn't there some crappy emo band called The Purity Ring back in the late '90's? One of those bands that always shared bills with Jimmy Eat World and The Get Up Kids?

I think they were The Promise Ring.

Man, The Get Up Kids were kind of better than most of those other emo bands.

Again, embarrassed to be late to the game on this gem.

Will O covering Skynyrd.

Excellent excellent album, too. Check it all out. The subsequent 2 records are not half as good but Peace Love and Death metal is a fun listen.

Yeah someone tried to get me into them ages ago but I wasn't having it. I should find that guy and apologize.

I should not tell the internets this, but for some unknown reason I enjoy this song. It's terrible.

I've now listened to 44 Elvis Costello songs. 42 were excellent; 2 were just OK.

I wasn't amazingly keen on 'Spooky Girlfriend'; it's obviously a good song, just bothered me slightly, I can't articulate why at the moment -- I think I find the title a bit crass, cheesy, so that constant returning to it is a bit much. There was another that I can't find now, so there's every chance it has grown on me in two listens.
